Training seminar of the European project CI-NOVATEC "Customer Intelligence for Innovative Tourism Ecosystems" in Nafpaktos
A training seminar themed: “The value of customer intelligence in tourism: How knowledge of tourists’ satisfaction affects business decisions” was organized by the Region of Western Greece in Nafpaktos on Wednesday 15/01/2020 in Nafpaktia Hall of the City Hall of Nafpaktos, in the course of implementation of the CI-NOVATEC – Customer Intelligence for inNOVAtive Tourism ECosystems project, of the Interreg V-Α Greece – Italy programme.
Mr. Fokion Zaimis, the Vice Governor of Western Greece on Entrepreneurship, Research and Innovation, addressed the seminar on behalf of the Region of Western Greece and mentioned the future plans of the Region for the area of Nafpaktos and also spoke of the importance and benefits of the European project. The mayor of Nafpaktos, Mr. Vassilios Gizas also addressed the event and spoke of the issues and problems that the area is facing. Mrs. Vicky Karapanoy, the project manager gave a brief outline of the project, with Mrs. Konstantina Lantavou financial & communication manager and Mrs. Maria Michalopoulou, responsible for the administrative and scientific support of the project being present as well.
The seminar joined representatives from the local tourism clusters, representatives from SMEs, administrators of touristic points of interest and local events based on Nafpaktos, as well as representatives from governance bodies and policy makers.
The participants were able to view the presentation of the platform created as part of the implementation of the CI-NOVATEC project, along with its capabilities in capturing and recording the sense and satisfaction of the area’s visitors. They were also trained on how to use the platform in order to promote their firms and the wider area of Nafpaktos.
