Training seminar of the European project CI-NOVATEC "Customer Intelligence for Innovative Tourism Ecosystems" in Ancient Olympia

In the course of implementation of the CI-NOVATEC – Customer Intelligence for inNOVAtive Tourism ECosystems project, of the Interreg V-Α Greece – Italy programme, Region of Western Greece organized a training seminar on Wednesday 11/12/2019 in the city hall of Ancient Olympia themed: “The value of customer intelligence in tourism: How knowledge of tourists’ satisfaction affects business decisions”.

Ms Roi Antonopoulou, the Vice Mayor for Olympic and International Relations, Education and Lifelong Learning, addressed the seminar on behalf of the municipality of Ancient Olympia and emphasized on the importance and benefits of the project after talking about the town and the problems it is facing.

The seminar was attended by representatives of local tourism clusters, representatives of small and medium-sized firms, administrators of touristic points of interest and events based in Ancient Olympia, as well as representatives from governance bodies and policy makers.

The participants watched the presentation of the platform created as part of the implementation of the CI-NOVATEC project, along with its capabilities in capturing and recording the sense and satisfaction of the area’s visitors. They were also trained on how to use the platform in order to promote their firms and the wider area of Ancient Olympia.
